10-day tour of northern Xinjiang with Dad

Recommended must-see attractions in Northern Xinjiang:
🍀Altai District (Kanas, Hemu)
Kanas is arguably humanity's last remaining paradise. The mountaintop scenery is like a fairyland, and you could spend the entire day sitting on the café balcony.

You'll pass a desert highway along the way, but there's no need to stay too long. It feels like a makeshift rest stop, a small desert with a few scraps.
🌸Ili District (Sayram Lake, Nalati Grassland, and the stunning Duku Highway)
Horseback riding on the vast grasslands of Nalati Grassland is truly exhilarating.
Sayram Lake is so famous, and the crowds are so crowded I barely want to stay. I'll just want to escape after taking photos.
I think the lavender farm is just average; it's all artificially cultivated, not as dreamy as I imagined.

👑Around Urumqi (Tianshan Tianchi Lake, Karez Wells)
The Flaming Mountains and Uyghur home visits are both designed to "please" tourists, especially the Flaming Mountains. Once you've been to a mountain, you'll never go back. No one likes staying in temperatures over 60-80 degrees for more than 10 minutes; you'll be sunburned to the point of deforming.

💡Note:
1. June to September is peak season in Xinjiang, with July and August being the peak months. That's why I planned my trip in early July, before summer vacation.
2. Think twice about visiting Xinjiang for your parents. Xinjiang's vast terrain is incredibly long, and driving between attractions can easily take 6-8 hours, which can be difficult for elderly parents. One of our longest trips took nearly 10 hours straight, with only brief rest stops for exercise. Elderly people with back problems can find this very tiring. Wearing a belt can help alleviate back pain, if possible. For those who suffer from motion sickness, I strongly recommend driving with the passenger seat. Going up and down the mountain in the nine districts and 18 bays can make you vomit.
