Mauritshuis, The Hague

#mytraveldiary

The Mauritshuis is a small museum with a huge impact. Nestled in a stately 17th-century building, it houses some of the most iconic Dutch Golden Age paintings. Standing before Vermeer’s Girl with a Pearl Earring was surreal—it felt like meeting an old friend in person. The collection also includes Rembrandt, Jan Steen, and other masters, each painting telling stories of Dutch history and life. What struck me most was the intimacy of the museum—it’s not overwhelming, so you can truly connect with each piece. Elegant, historic, and unforgettable. A gem of The Hague. #mytraveldiary
