It's not that Sanya isn't worth it, but Haikou offers better value for money

Bringing my kid to play in Haikou, staying at Haikou State Guesthouse (soon to become Fairmont Haikou) gave us so many wonderful surprises that I must recommend it to everyone! 😍

The moment we entered the Little Yellow Duck themed room, my child's eyes instantly lit up ✨ The adorable duck-shaped pillow on the bed, the Octonauts chocolate cookies and fresh fruit platter on the coffee table completely won my kid over. He immediately recognized Captain Barnacles on the cookies and excitedly screamed before grabbing one to eat. The blueberries 🫐 and strawberries 🍓 in the fruit platter looked incredibly fresh. Stepping onto the balcony, the ocean view was so beautiful it was hard to look away.

The hotel's kids' activity area is truly a mom's "happy place" 😍 With activities like clay modeling and children's oil painting classes 🖍️ all guided by teachers. While my child was seriously molding clay with the teacher, I could finally relax on the nearby sofa and scroll through my phone in peace. During the painting class, the teacher thoughtfully dressed the kids in little aprons, and they could take their "masterpieces" 🖼️ home afterward, full of a sense of accomplishment.

🌳 The forest-themed afternoon tea was amazing too! When the desserts were served, dry ice created mist 🌫️ swirling around the sweets 🍧 making every photo look like a fairy tale scene. The best part? The desserts tasted incredible, each bite was pure bliss. 😋

🍃 The forest-style pool completely won me over 💦 Surrounded by greenery on both sides, with a children's play pool featuring its own sunshade. My kid happily played with water guns in the shallow end while I sipped coconut water in the shade - such a relaxing feeling.

🌄 In the evening, we chased the sunset at the beach. Golden sunlight spilled across the sand, and we easily filled a small bucket with seashells. Watching my child's little back as he squatted in the shallow water searching for conch shells 🐚 I couldn't resist taking pictures 📷 The scene was utterly heartwarming.

😋 The hotel's dining options were absolutely fantastic too 👍 Breakfast featured all of Hainan's specialty snacks - freshly steamed pandan cakes, coconut cakes, as well as freshly prepared Baoluo noodles and Lingshui sour noodles, every bite bursting with authentic Hainan flavors.

🇧🇷 The Brazilian barbecue 🍖 buffet dinner deserves special praise - freshly carved beef ribs with crispy, fragrant edges, honey-glazed chicken drumsticks, even the grilled pineapple was steaming hot and incredibly aromatic. Plus unlimited servings of freshly sliced salmon 🍣! The dining area even had a small children's play zone and movie screening area, so kids could play after eating while we adults could enjoy our meal in peace. 😍

Truly an exceptional experience - moms can confidently go for it!
