One of China's Four Great Forts: Xiuying Fort

Location: Jinlong Cross Road, Longhua District, Haikou City, Hainan Province

Introduction: Xiuying Fort is located behind Xiuying Village on the north side of Haixiu Road in Longhua District, Haikou City, Hainan Province. It is a fort built during the late Qing Dynasty. In 1985, the Haikou Municipal People's Government designated it as a municipal-level key cultural relic protection site. In 2006, it was listed as part of the sixth batch of national key cultural relic protection sites. Xiuying Fort, along with Guangdong's Humen Fort, Shanghai's Wusong Fort, and Tianjin's Dagu Fort, is known as one of China's Four Great Ancient Forts.
