Introducing Yongzhen Tower

Yongzhen Pagoda, also known as Yongtai Pagoda, is located in Yongtai Town, 17 kilometers southwest of Zhangshu City. It borders the Ganjiang River and is adjacent to National Highway 105. Due to floods in the mid-Ming Dynasty, local gentry donated funds to build the Yongzhen Pagoda, hoping to ward off evil and ensure peace. Its motto is "East of the river, peace reigns." A towering cedar pillar, 80 centimeters in diameter, rises to the top of the tower. Each floor is equipped with four interlocking wooden frames arranged in a grid pattern, interlocking the pillars and tightly connecting them to the tower.
