Da Qaidam Emerald Lake Scenic Area is located in Haixi Mongolian and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture, Qinghai Province. It is renowned for its rare salt lake landscape. The lake water, rich in minerals, displays varying shades of emerald green. Combined with the surrounding vast Gobi Desert and distant snow-capped mountains, the scenery is incredibly layered, earning it the nickname "China's Maldives." Every year, it attracts numerous tourists and photography enthusiasts, especially those who combine it with Qinghai Lake to experience the ruggedness and gentleness of different lakes.

Recommended Route and Itinerary: From Da Qaidam Town, it's a 10-minute drive to Emerald Lake Scenic Area. Upon entering, it's recommended to first walk along the sightseeing trail for panoramic views, overlooking the lake's scattered emerald green spots for stunning photos. Walking along the lakeside path allows you to get close to the water's surface; the distinct layers of color, from deep green to azure, are truly breathtaking. Walking to the salt island for photos is also highly recommended; this is a popular spot where the salt crystals underfoot create a natural boundary between the water and the lake, offering a visually striking experience. At sunset, the setting sun paints the lake surface in a golden-orange hue, a truly unmissable moment.

2. It can be windy by the lake; dress warmly, especially near the salt island where the sea breeze can be quite strong.

3. The salt crystals are fragile; walk carefully to avoid slipping or getting your shoes wet.

4. There are simple supply stations within the scenic area, but it's recommended to bring your own water and snacks.

5. A wide-angle lens is recommended for photography to better capture the grandeur and color gradations of the salt lake.

- Strictly adhere to protection regulations when entering the scenic area. Do not litter or step on areas not marked as protected.

- Due to the high altitude, some people may experience mild discomfort; please prepare accordingly.

- The scenic area is open from 08:30 to 19:00 from April to October and from 09:00 to 18:00 from November to March. Last entry is at 19:00. Please allow sufficient time to avoid missing the sunset.
