Compared to Wuzhen, I prefer this free, lesser-known ancient town in Jiaxing

Shendang Ancient Town, the hometown of writer Yu Hua
The ancient town is small, without the hustle and bustle of people and traffic

But it is far from the hustle and bustle, and is a fertile ground for literature
Yu Hua mentioned or described the local customs and practices in many of his works

🚗Transportation: Drive and navigate to "Victory Hotel"; take a high-speed train to Jiaxing South Station, transfer to bus K175🚌, and get off at Songpo East Road Station (CNY 2, 30 minutes)
