Kaiguang New World Tourism Resort, part of Kaiguang Group's leisure tourism portfolio, is located northwest of Yangtiangang National Forest Park in Xinyu City, covering 6,200 mu (approximately 1.5 billion yuan) in area and helmed by Harvard-educated Dr. Kongjian Yu, Dean of the Peking University Landscape Architecture Institute. The resort was designed by designers from Shenzhen's Overseas Chinese Town East National 5A-rated scenic area and Italian design experts.
The scenic area takes the subtropical botanical garden as its ecological base, takes green, low-carbon and respect for nature as its core concepts, and features the display of subtropical plants. It uses anti-planning and low-impact development methods to form an ecological and cultural leisure tourism resort that integrates romantic landscapes, plant science education, intangible cultural heritage experience, and high-end service facilities.
It has successively won the titles of National 5A Rural Tourism Attraction, National Forest Health Care Base Pilot Construction Unit, Jiangxi Provincial Forestry Leading Enterprise, Jiangxi Provincial Excellent Science Popularization Demonstration Base, and Jiangxi Provincial Cultural Industry Demonstration Base.
