A bowl of local breakfast, a quiet shrine walk, and a leisurely stroll in the middle of the city

🥣 [Course 1] Fukuoka's morning at a local restaurant

Fukuoka's morning is lively from early in the morning.

A traveler's day starts with a solid meal!

Recommended breakfast places:
• Uoshokuten 魚庄食堂
→ Fresh fish set, grilled salmon + omelet set, full of local flavor
• Yoshizuka Unagi 吉塚うなぎ (Waiting before opening is required)
→ Recharge your energy for the day with eel rice bowl

☕ TIP: Go to a Japanese breakfast restaurant between 7 and 9 a.m. to eat leisurely without waiting.

⛩️ [Course 2] Quiet Mind Walk – Kashii Shrine or Kushida Shrine

The shrines that are good for a quiet walk after breakfast are Kushida Shrine (櫛田神社) near the city center, and Kashii Shrine (香椎宮) with a quiet atmosphere.
• Kushida Shrine
→ Located in the center of Hakata, with excellent accessibility
→ The center of Fukuoka's representative festival, 'Hakata Gion Yamakasa'
→ It's a small shrine, but it's good for praying, and there are photo spots here and there
• Kashii Shrine
→ Located in the eastern part of Fukuoka, a quiet and lush forest path
→ Local atmosphere with more local elderly people than tourists
→ It's perfect for a walk with a traditional bridge and pond

🌿 TIP: Kashii Shrine if you want a quiet atmosphere, Kushida Shrine if you want access to the city center!

🛍 [3-course] After lunch, sightseeing in the city & shopping time

After calming down at the shrine, slowly return to the city
and spend some leisurely time in Canal City & Daimyo/Tenjin area.
• Canal City Hakata
→ A complex space with a shopping mall, restaurant, and fountain show
→ A bowl of Fukuoka Tonkotsu Ramen at Ramen Stadium
• A walk through Daimyo/Tenjin cafe streets
→ A street full of character with emotional cafes, select shops, and used bookstores
→ Time flies by when you eat desserts or browse vintage shops in a quiet alley

👜 TIP: For drugstore shopping, Tenjin Core/Matsumoto Kiyoshi has a wider variety of choices!

🥢 [4-course] Dinner at a local izakaya or motsunabe

The best meal to end the day is, of course, warm soup! • Motsunabe Yamaya (もつ鍋 やまや)
→ Gopchang hotpot, mentaiko set meal, a collection of Fukuoka specialties
• Izakaya Hananomai
→ Fukuoka-style snacks, fried food, and grilled food with a drink

🍶 TIP: If you enter the Izakaya between 5 PM and 6 PM, you can avoid waiting and enjoy the atmosphere
