Hakodate Goryokaku - The Last Vision of the Samurai

Looking at Hakodate from the higher Goryokaku in the snow, the taste has changed again. I always thought it should be soft and beautiful, but I didn’t expect it to be sharp and majestic from a high place. Thinking of some of the wars in the past, it also makes my blood boil. Goryokaku Park is now a famous cherry blossom viewing spot in Japan, with about 1,600 cherry trees planted (the best viewing period is from late April to early May).
Goryokaku Tower is a 107-meter-high observation tower (rebuilt in 2006) that offers a panoramic view of the star-shaped castle. There is also a historical exhibition hall inside the tower.
The Hakodate Magistrate's Office is an administrative building from the late Edo period that was restored in 2010. The interior displays the history and architectural techniques of the late Edo period.
