This time, we'll be introducing a tourist spot in Hokkaido!
We'll be introducing the former British Consulate in Hakodate 😊The interior has a refined beauty that exudes a British royal feel 😊You can also have afternoon tea there, and there are plenty of cafes to choose from, so we highly recommend it〜_____________________
🖼 Former British Consulate
🚖Location: Japan🇯🇵Hakodate💰Admission Fee: 300 yen⏳Viewing Time: 40 minutes
📝Honest Review P O I N T ✔︎・Full of British taste, you'll be enchanted・You can even have afternoon tea🫖・The historical documents of Perry's arrival are pop and interesting
The former British Consulate in Hakodate City has been flying the Union Jack for 75 years since Hakodate opened as an international trading port in 1859, and has been a building that has colored the exotic port city of Hakodate🏠After several fires, it was rebuilt in this location, but was destroyed by fire again🔥The current building was completed in 1913, designed by the Shanghai Works Department of the British Government Ministry of Works, and was used as the consulate until it closed in 1934. It was designated a tangible cultural property of Hakodate City in 1979🙆It continues to stand today as a symbol of the open port city.

Great deals for the Former British Consulate🉐
The admission fee is so cheap at 300 yen, but even cheaper than that is the combined admission ticket🙆♀️The most recommended is the 2-center combined set for 500 yen for the Former Hakodate Ward Public Hall, which is less than a 5-minute walk away. I bought the combined set for 840 yen for all 4 centers, which are as follows: Former British Consulate Former Hakodate Ward Public Hall Hakodate City Museum of Northern Peoples Hakodate City Literature Museum I went to all of them, but if you like Golden Kamuy, I recommend the Museum of Northern Peoples, but I didn't know anything about the Literature Museum 😞
The Old Hakodate Ward Public Hall is a beautiful building, and you can even see it from near Hakodate Station. Its retro interior is also impressive. The Public Hall is on a hill, so the view of Hakodate from there was also goooood 👍
I think the most traditional route is to visit both museums, so after that, on the way back, I think it would be the best plan to buy a crepe that advertises a 30-minute expiration date and walk towards Hakodate Station 😉
****・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・・*****I work as a freelance graphic designer and visit art museums around the world ♪ From niche museums to traditional museums! I mainly post about beautiful places and architecture! This is the only place to post information about art museums around the world 🙆♀️There are many beautiful things in the world. It's not just museums, I hope you enjoy the beautiful posts from the designer's perspective. I would be happy if this becomes an opportunity for people to become even a little interested in design and art, and enriches their lives 😆 ************************************ #Hakodate #Hokkaido #Britain #HakodateTourism #FormerBritishConsulate
