🥩 Hokkaido Flavours at Yumoto Takubokutei

We stayed at Yumoto Takubokutei during our Hakodate leg and opted for the half board option—which turned out to be a great decision. Dinner was a buffet-style spread, and I must say, we were genuinely impressed with the quality and freshness of the food.

There was a wide variety of local Hokkaido specialties, but what stood out most was the Hokkaido beef. It was tender, juicy, and full of flavour—one of the best we had on this trip. You could tell they took pride in showcasing regional ingredients, from seafood to fresh produce.

The atmosphere in the dining area was warm and welcoming, not overly fancy, but with a touch of quiet elegance. It wasn’t overly crowded when we dined, which made it even more enjoyable. After a long day of sightseeing, it felt comforting to sit down to a hearty meal that celebrated the best of Hokkaido.
