Hakone🇯🇵 Recommended accommodation: "Ki no Yu Setsugekka" 1 minute walk from Gora Station

Hakone Gora Seasonal Yu Setsugekka Onsen Ryokan is a highly recommended Japanese traditional hot spring hotel. The hot spring hotel has its own garden, which is large in area. There are three open-air private baths in the yard. The lights outside are on when there are people. I waited for a while at night. There were fewer people in the morning, so I tried all three. There is also a large public hot spring (separate for men and women) and several special indoor hot springs.

The rooms are simple and clean (tatami rooms are also available), and there is an open-air bath and shower on the balcony. You can go to the lobby to change into your favorite yukata in color and pattern. There is also a small basket in the room that you can carry to the hot spring. Booked a one night stay and two meals, all eaten in the restaurant, breakfast and dinner are Japanese style cuisine, and there is free ramen at 10 pm 🍜. There is plenty of cold yogurt and popsicles outside the public hot springs. It is so refreshing to eat popsicles after taking a bath!

The most surprising thing is that after taking a bath, you can also enjoy the red leaves in the garden, which is a bonus! 🍁
