Owakudani is a valley located at an altitude of 1,000 meters. It is a must-see attraction in Hakone. The ancient crater can be easily reached by cable car from Sounzan. Steam and sulfur smoke are constantly gushing out of the valley, and visitors can enjoy the scenery of the active volcano up close, which is breathtaking. When the weather is clear, you can even see Mount Fuji.

Owakudani is sometimes closed due to volcanic steam, so please check before visiting to see if it is open.
