Owakudani: Hakone’s Volcanic Wonder

Owakudani, nestled in Hakone’s volcanic heart, is a place unlike any other. As we stepped off the ropeway, the sharp scent of sulfur hit us. The view of Mount Fuji in the distance was a stunning contrast to the harshness of the volcanic terrain around us.

Of course, no visit to Owakudani is complete without trying the famous black eggs, cooked in the volcanic hot springs. Their charred shells were a striking sight, and while they tasted like any other boiled egg, the experience felt meaningful.
