Fuji in the distance. 🗻💙 The sparkling waters of the lake, and the red torii gate of Hakone Shrine rising from the surface, were unforgettable.

Speaking of shrines, Hakone Shrine (箱根神社) is equally magical. ✨ The walking path amidst tall pine trees offers a sense of tranquility. As you reach the torii gate by the lake, It's like stepping into a postcard 📸

For a thrilling ride, try the Hakone Ropeway 🚡. Float through the valley of fire and steam from Owakudani Valley, feeling like you're in a surreal world. The sulfur smell may be overpowering, but the famous black eggs, Kurotamago (黒卵), 🥚, said to add seven years to your life, are a must-try.

Hakone is also a paradise for art lovers 🎨, especially the Hakone Open-Air Museum, filled with colorful sculptures and installations amidst nature. I was most impressed by the stained glass tower. Climbing it was like walking through a rainbow 🌈.

And of course… onsen ♨️ After a tiring day of sightseeing, soaking in a hot spring amidst the mountain air is a true bliss. Especially at a ryokan with an outdoor bath with a view of Mt. Fuji—it's indescribable! 💕

Getting there is easy. Just use the Hakone Freepass, which covers trains, buses, boats, and the ropeway, allowing you to explore all the sights. All in one pass! 🚉
