Skiing in Hakuba

Hakuba is located in Nagano Prefecture and is a world-renowned ski resort. By April, some of the snow has melted, but there are still ski slopes available on higher mountains, especially at Happo-One and Tsugaike Kogen. Snowboarding enthusiasts can still enjoy the slopes, and the crowds are much thinner compared to the peak season since it's the end of the season.

The atmosphere is very relaxing.

One advantage is that the weather is not as harshly cold as in January, with daytime temperatures around 5-10°C. After skiing, you can take off your winter gear and enjoy a leisurely walk. Moreover, accommodation and lift pass prices are significantly cheaper than during the high season.

Tips:

- Choose ski resorts located at higher altitudes because the snow melts quickly during this period.
- Bring sunglasses and sunscreen as the sunlight reflecting off the snow can be intense.
