The Three Mountains of Hakuba are at the top of Japanese mountaineering bucket lists.

The purpose of this trip was to complete the "Three Mountains of Hakuba," a mountain that tops the Japanese climber's dream list, in three days and two nights.

Hakuba-dake (2932m, Hakuba-dake)
Mount Sakuse-dake (2812m, Shiya-dake)
Hakuba-kagaze-dake (2903m, Hakuba-yari-gatake)

Original itinerary:
* Day 1: Hakuba Village - Tsugaike Kogen Cable Car Station - Tenguhara - Hakuba-Oike Sanso - Korenkazan - Hakuba-dake - Hakuba-sanso (accommodation)
* Day 2: Hakuba-sanso - Mt. Sakuse-dake - Hakuba-kagaze - Tengu-sanso (accommodation)
* Day 3: Tengu Mountain Lodge – Kagami Onsen Lodge – Sarukura-so – Happo Cable Car Station – Hakuba Village

Under the supervision of three professional mountain guides, three days and two nights were condensed into two days and one night (omitting the stay at Tengu Mountain Lodge).

The road was incredibly challenging: gravel, fine sand, rock climbing, rope pulling, ice traversing...

Impossible mission: no body double, I took on the challenge myself. The mountains were breathtakingly beautiful, the remaining snow adding to the beauty. Blisters on my feet, my legs slowed down, and I made it one of the most unforgettable mountain hikes of my life.
