พาพ่อเที่ยว Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Harbor

Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort Review

On this trip, I took my father to Hakuba Iwatake Mountain Resort. The atmosphere was wonderful, from the transportation to the mountain activities. We chose to stay near the cable car, making it easy to walk up. However, be careful: you need to get there early to buy your tickets. If you arrive late, the lines can be very long, which can be a real hassle. If you're traveling in a group, it's recommended to split tasks. For example, one person will queue for the cable car, while the other team will buy tickets. This will save you a lot of time. Alternatively, if you can prepare, it's best to buy your tickets online in advance.

Hours of Operation and Tickets
• The cable car operates from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM (last ride around 3:00 PM).
• Round-trip cable car tickets cost approximately 2,400 yen per adult and 1,400 yen per child (prices may vary seasonally, so check the website before traveling).
• There are also packages that include mountain activities, so choose the one that suits you best.

Mountain Highlights

There are many activities to choose from at the top, including nature trails, observation decks, and outdoor play areas. A must-see is the cafe with a Sky Deck and glass bridge jutting out into the air. The panoramic view of the Iwatake mountain range is so beautiful that even my father said it was worth the climb.

Time Required

Actually, if you want to take in the views, relax with a cup of coffee, and try the cable car to the other bases, you should allow almost a full day, as there are many activities and different views.

Getting There

If you're driving, the resort has a large parking lot right in front of the resort, making it very convenient. No need to tire yourself out looking for a parking spot.
