Hangzhou’s trendiest hotel - Canopy by Hilton

Many new hotels in China are located far from the city centre, however, not the Canopy in Hangzhou. It is located just a 5 minute walk from the West Lake and some of the key shopping streets.

On arrival in the hotel we were notified our room was not ready. We were offered a drink in the bar whilst we waited and reception looked after our bags.

On returning we were given our room keys and found a very orange but stylish room with a view of the lake in the distance. The room was incredibly clean and the bath was huge.

The whole hotel gives out a cool bar vibe. The lobby is filled with neon lights and music. After getting settled into our room we went for a short evening walk to see some temples and the lake in Hangzhou. We got back late, around 9pm and used the two free drink vouchers to get a cocktail.

The uniqueness of this property, the distance from the major attractions and the service offerings such as free drinks made this one of our favourite stays of the year. Certainly our new favourite hotel in Hangzhou. #hilton #canopy #hangzhou #staycation #china #cocktails
