#discoverchina In Hangzhou, locals and tourists lined up on Hefang Street to receive a bowl of Laba porridge for the Laba Festival, a traditional Chinese festival that falls on January 7 this year. In the morning, a time-honored traditional Chinese medicine shop in the city’s Qinghefang historic street followed the traditional custom and set up a porridge stall at the shop door near the Xinglin Pavilion. Offered free to all, the stall served up countless bowls of the healthy preserved Laba porridge, carefully cooked with 16 ingredients and medicinal herbs.
