The highlight of the Hangzhou Museum is undoubtedly the crystal cup. It is a crystal glass made during the Warring States period some 2,300 years ago, and although its shape is simple, it is a surprisingly luxurious item when you think about how large the crystal was used to make it. What's even more amazing is that it was made 2,300 years ago.
Also, in the Western Jin Dynasty around 1,700 years ago, in the pig and dog regions, animals were kept in enclosures and it is assumed that they were domesticated. In Japan, the animal of the Chinese zodiac is the boar, but in China it is the pig, and it seems that there were no pigs in Japan when pigs were introduced to Japan.
The famous Wu-Yue border map (Hangzhou is Wu) from the story of Wu and Yue in the same boat is also fun to think about history.
