“Longjing Tea Inquiring” (龙井问茶) is a famous cultural and scenic spot in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, known for its connection to Longjing (Dragon Well) tea, one of China's most prestigious green teas.
I recently had a chance to explore these tea plantations, learn about tea processing, and enjoy tea-tasting experiences. This high-quality tea- tasting was a highlight. They served the fresh, aromatic Longjing tea for tasting, personally prefer the smooth, sweet, and slightly nutty flavour of authentic “Shi Feng Longjing” (狮峰龙井).
Apart of that, the area is surrounded by gentle hills
and trails, it offering both nature and cultural immersion. These terraced tea fields offer scenic hiking trails, especially during spring when the tea leaves are freshly picked. The lush greenery and serene environment make it a perfect escape from city life.
I literally loved this authentic Tea Culture experience, many teahouses and local tea farmers are welcoming and knowledgeable, great for learning authentic tea-making techniques. They provide hands-on experiences, including tea picking, roasting, and brewing, and I really enjoys learning this traditional Longjing tea production.
Overall, these tea plantations are truly breathtaking with serene atmosphere, drinking freshly brewed Longjing tea while overlooking the hills is an unforgettable experience!
