🍁 Red Leaves & Romance in Longjing Village, Hangzhou 🍂

One of the most magical spots we visited in Hangzhou — Longjing Village (龙井村), just a short wander from West Lake. Known mostly for its famous Dragon Well tea, it completely transforms in autumn — and we were lucky enough to catch it at its fiery best.
The hillsides burst into deep reds and burnt oranges, with maple and ginkgo trees painting the entire valley in warm, romantic hues. Walking through the narrow trails and tea terraces, surrounded by glowing leaves fluttering in the breeze — it felt like being wrapped in a painting. Pure peace and beauty.
We stayed in a local minsu (B&B) nearby — simple but full of charm, with big windows looking straight onto the autumn forest. Waking up to crisp mountain air and golden morning light through the red canopy was honestly unforgettable.
It’s a quieter spot compared to West Lake itself, and that’s part of the magic. You get sweeping views of the tea fields and forest, and in late November, the red leaves are at their absolute peak. Perfect for a quiet walk, slow tea, and just soaking in the seasonal colours.
Highly recommend visiting if you’re in Hangzhou during autumn. You’ll get gorgeous views, local flavour, and some proper romantic vibes.
