The oldest and most sacred Buddhist temple in China

Had a one-day trip in Hangzhou and managed to cover a few key spots.
🛕 Lingyin Temple (灵隐寺)
A really beautiful place surrounded by mountains and greenery. Just a heads-up: you need to pay twice—once for entry into the scenic area (Feilai Peak), and once again for the temple itself. The area is huge, with several temples to explore beyond the main hall. It’s definitely worth visiting, but I recommend going early to avoid the crowds, especially if you want to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
🛍 Hubin Yintai in77 (湖滨银泰in77)
A massive shopping mall complex with pretty much everything you can think of—from high-end brands to cafes and local stores. Great spot if you want to shop, eat, or just chill indoors for a bit.
🚤 West Lake (西湖)
Took a boat ride even though it was raining, but honestly, the light rain gave it a really chill, misty vibe. Classic Hangzhou moment—calm waters, soft rain, and beautiful views.
Overall: Hangzhou is a great mix of nature, culture, and city life. If you’re short on time like I was, plan well, start early, and you can still get a lot out of the trip!
