All in one go! The three major family-themed rooms at Shangri-La Hangzhou in the city center

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family members, staying at Shangri-La Hangzhou Kerry Center with kids is a full experience! They offer two types of family rooms: City Family Room (43㎡) and Themed Family Room (78㎡). At check-in, the front desk said we could upgrade directly to a themed family room, which meant no waiting for cleaning and enjoying executive privileges—so we went for it! Unexpectedly, there are three themed family rooms. When showing the pictures to the baby to choose, the little one was so conflicted. The front desk lady was super patient and even let us take the baby to see the rooms in person to choose—so thoughtful!

🏠 The room setups are similar but each has unique details. The hotel only has 3 themed family rooms, one for each theme. We finally chose the Little Yellow Duck theme. As soon as we decided, the front desk immediately took that room type off the booking list, showing how popular it is!

🎈 Little Yellow Duck Theme Room: As soon as you enter, you’re surrounded by adorable little yellow duck elements—from bedding to carpets to various small decorations. The baby was instantly charmed and excitedly ran around the room. There’s a child-sized potty and toiletries all in little yellow duck designs, plus a super cute little yellow duck bathtub toy set that makes bath time so much fun. The small tent and rocking horse in the room are also in yellow duck colors, and the baby played pretend house in there all day long.

🚢 Super Wings Theme Room: This room is literally a boy’s dream world! The walls are covered with Super Wings murals, as if stepping into the animated world. At the foot of the bed is a Super Wings toy train with tracks that can be freely connected. The baby couldn’t wait to start playing as soon as we entered. The child’s desk is designed like an airplane cockpit, and the stationery is all Super Wings branded, making homework time more exciting.

🐿️ Little Squirrel Song Song Theme Room: Full of forest fairy tale vibes, there’s a big plush little squirrel at the head of the bed, as if welcoming the kids. The tent and cushions feature pinecone and leaf patterns, creating a strong atmosphere. The room also provides some picture books and puzzles about little squirrels, perfect for parent-child interaction time.

💁‍♀️ The stay experience was truly flawless. The staff were especially warm to the kids and even gave a small gift at check-in. The children’s facilities in the room are high quality, safe, and reassuring. Plus, the hotel location is fantastic, right next to Kerry Center, making dining and shopping super convenient.

⚠️ Little tips:

The themed family rooms are extremely popular, so be sure to book in advance!
When checking in with kids, communicate with the front desk to see if you can upgrade the room type—there might be a surprise!
There are many family-friendly attractions around the hotel. West Lake and the Hubin shopping district are within walking distance, making a two-day, one-night family trip perfect!
