This time in Hangzhou, I stayed at the stunning secret spot by Xianghu Lake—Hangzhou Xianghu Free Manor! As someone who doesn’t like the hustle and bustle of popular tourist spots, this place is simply a divine choice✨
🌿 Location & Environment
• Located within the Xianghu Scenic Area, avoiding the crowds of West Lake, enjoying a peaceful retreat
• A 5-minute walk to the Xianghu boat dock, perfect for a delightful lakeside stroll at dusk
• About 1.5 km from Xianghu Station on Metro Line 1, around 40 minutes by taxi to Hangzhou East Station
💎 Accommodation Experience
• Manor-style architecture with an amazing vibe, rooms surrounded by the lake on three sides with breathtaking views
• Room features: spacious starting at 60㎡, bathrooms equipped with large scenic bathtubs
• Special experience: book a yacht afternoon tea to watch the sunset in the middle of the lake—absolutely stunning
• Service details: welcome fruit on check-in, free mini bar drinks, and thoughtful turndown service with eye masks prepared
✨ The circular water curtain at the lobby entrance cascades from above, with flowing light and shadow, as if stepping into a sacred water temple with layers of depth
✨ The most eye-catching is the pale yellow “ribbon” corridor, winding and lively, lightly connecting the spatial layers. It’s like a walking art installation—every snap is a cinematic atmosphere
✨ At nightfall, the candlelight flickers in the Western restaurant, paired with lake breezes and gourmet food, creating an exclusive romantic ritual
✨ Outside, the cascading water and lush greenery form a tranquil garden. Sitting here, you hear only flowing water, sunshine, and the scent of plants... your mind completely relaxes
✨ The infinity blue pool looks like a huge sapphire embedded in the valley
✨ Nearby, there are many activities like boating and a water park
Hop on a Xianghu boat and let the paddle sounds glide you into a watercolor painting
📸 Photo Hotspots
1. Lakeside terrace: recommended at dusk, wear a plain long dress for back shots
2. Manor lawn: French picnic setup beats any trendy café
3. Lake-view bathtub: remember to bring bubble bath balls, the overhead shot is timeless
4. Yacht deck: every snap at sunset feels cinematic
🍴 Food Tips
• Breakfast is semi-buffet style; be sure to try Pian’erchuan and Dingsheng cake
• Within a 10-minute walk, there’s a "Xianghu Small Restaurant" with super fresh lake seafood
⚠️ Practical Tips
• During peak season, book lake-view rooms at least one month in advance; basic rooms start at 2k+ RMB/night
• Remember to bring mosquito repellent, as there are many mosquitoes by the lake
• If you want to shoot Hanfu photos, you can contact the hotel to book a photographer
PS: There is a free handmade craft class every day at 4 PM (fan or sachet making), parents with kids don’t miss it~
