📍 Leifeng Pagoda, China
🌉 This newly restored pagoda houses an air-conditioned museum with artifacts from the original site. It also houses beautiful painted sculptures depicting famous Chinese folktales. You can reach the top floor by elevator, offering stunning 360-degree views of the surrounding West Lake and Hangzhou. Shuttle buses operate from the temple entrance to other drop-off points along the West Lake. Shuttle fares range from 20 to 80 yuan. It's a 5-10-minute walk from the entrance to 苏堤, past a Starbucks and a Chinese restaurant. The entrance to the tower costs 40 yuan per person. Upon ascending to the first floor, you'll find the ruins of an old tower. The stairs to the second floor are on the left side of the tower. Once you reach the second floor, you can take the elevator or the stairs to the tower. There was a long queue for the elevator, and the elevator doesn't go to the top floor. You still have to climb the stairs to reach the top floor. The view from the top is good, but it can be a bit crowded, even on weekdays. You can enjoy the surrounding West Lake and the strong wind. We visited in summer. Therefore, it's especially nice to take a break to enjoy the view and cool off.
⏰ Opening Hours: 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM during the summer (March 16 - October 31) and 5:30 PM during the winter (November 1 - March 15). (Open daily.)
💸 Admission: 40 yuan for adults and 20 yuan for those under 18.
⭐️ Rating: 10/10
