The Beautiful West Lake in Hangzhou 🇨🇳

At seven in the morning by West Lake,
squirrels 🐿️ and pigeons 🕊️ are already waiting on the branches.
Children clutch tiny corn kernels in their palms,
and at the moment they tiptoe,
wings and fur gently brush their fingertips.
We unexpectedly meet the “Squirrel Grandpa” with his little one,
softly teaching the kids how to talk to squirrels 🐿️.
“Place it gently; they will remember your scent.”
That moment feels like time is coated in amber.
We head straight through Beishan Street to Hubin in77,
and pick up the long-awaited makeup box 💄 at the basement toy store.
The little girl seriously applying lipstick in front of the mirror
melts her mother’s heart instantly.
In the afternoon, we return to Qingzhiwu,
immediately embraced by lush greenery 🌱.
The white-walled, black-tiled guesthouse hides under the phoenix trees,
and the stone path winds toward vast green lawns.
The kids chase bubbles in Luzao’s courtyard,
while we watch the slow movement of cloud shadows.
This place is only a song away from the bustling city,
yet it feels like stepping into another dimension.
At dusk, we stroll slowly along Qingzhiwu,
with delicious food aromas wafting everywhere.
My daughter suddenly says, “I’m tired. But I’m so happy.”
It turns out the true sense of relaxation
is just right, even a child can feel it.
📌Travel Tips:
1️⃣ West Lake feeding spots: Wutong area from Broken Bridge to Gushan, recommended between 7:30-9:00 AM. Bringing your own raw walnut kernels or corn kernels is more popular.
2️⃣ Qingzhiwu accommodation: Recommended Luzao Courtyard Guesthouse, especially suitable for family trips (see another note for details).
