● Afternoon: Take a boat tour of West Lake and visit the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon Island, which is the prototype of the image on the back of the one-yuan RMB banknote! Experience this iconic sight up close and take amazing photos. After disembarking, head to Leifeng Pagoda. Climb to the top for a panoramic view of West Lake that is indescribably stunning.

● Evening: Visit Hefang Street, an important birthplace of Hangzhou’s history and culture, with various local snacks, handicrafts, and time-honored shops. Try snacks like Ding Sheng Cake and Scallion Pancakes to feel the city’s lively atmosphere.

Day 2: Lingyin Temple - Jiuxi Smoke Trees

● Morning: Set off early to Lingyin Temple, a thousand-year-old ancient temple hidden in the mountains, full of mysterious aura. Pray sincerely in the temple and feel the tranquility and peace. Don’t forget to visit Feilai Peak’s stone carvings, a treasure of ancient Chinese grotto art.

● Noon: Have a vegetarian meal at a restaurant near Lingyin Temple, which offers a unique flavor.

● Afternoon: Head to Jiuxi Smoke Trees, known as Hangzhou’s “natural oxygen bar.” Walk along the streams, enjoy the natural scenery, and breathe the fresh air as if you are in a fairyland. At the end of the trail is Longjing Village, where you can taste authentic West Lake Longjing tea.

● Evening: Return to the city and visit Wulin Night Market, a great place to experience Hangzhou’s nightlife with various foods and specialty goods.

Day 3: Xixi National Wetland Park

● All day: Spend the whole day at Xixi National Wetland Park, China’s first national 5A-level wetland park. You can choose to take a boat tour to appreciate the wetland’s ecological scenery or stroll along the boardwalk to feel the tranquility and beauty of nature. You can also visit the Wetland Museum to learn about wetland science. Have lunch at the park’s restaurant and enjoy local farmhouse dishes.
