With a "since we're here" mindset, I decided to visit the Yuquan Campus of Zhejiang University as it was on the way.
The architecture of the Yuquan Campus partly reflects the style of buildings from the early days of the People's Republic of China, blending both Chinese and Western elements. One of the advantages of strolling around here is the tranquility, allowing you to quietly soak in the academic atmosphere.
Popular spots include the statues of Mao Zedong and Principal Zhu Kezhen. I highly recommend visiting the latter! Principal Zhu Kezhen, who once served as the president of Zhejiang University, was an outstanding scientist dedicated to the pursuit of truth throughout his life.
Do note that shared bikes are not allowed to be parked inside the campus, though you can ride them in. However, there are some steep slopes, so it might be better to explore on foot!
