Lianhua Dian is located near Qiantou Village in Qiantou Agricultural Park, Fugu County, Shaanxi Province. It is the intersection of the three provinces of Qin, Jin and Meng. It is more than 100 feet high. It faces the Yellow River in the south and stretches for 10 kilometers in the northwest. The east side is on the edge of the river bend with fewer peaks and mountains. The west side is on the county edge, and they are about 10 miles apart, with Huigou in the middle as the boundary.
Nature generously bestows miracles upon us, and the origin of the name "Lotus Drum" has a deep connection with Emperor Kangxi. According to historical records, when Emperor Kangxi was suppressing the Galdan rebellion, he stopped here and was captivated by the colorful Danxia landform that resembled a lotus blossoming in the heart of the loess. Upon learning that this place had no name, he named it "Lotus Drum".
The Lotus Drum landform, a striking combination of red and white, emerges from the surface, somewhat resembling a Yardang landform. This vibrant display seems to showcase the diverse beauty of the Loess Plateau to those who visit. Northern Shaanxi boasts not only vastness but also breathtaking brilliance. It's no exaggeration to say that here you can experience the feeling of stepping into three provinces at once: "Qingmuchuan in the south, Lotus Drum in the north." Its distinct scenery, north and south, makes it one of the eight scenic spots of Fugu.
The temperate continental climate makes travel suitable in all seasons, with spring and autumn being the best.
