☕️🇻🇳 Starbucks at West Lake – A Quiet Corner with a Surprisingly Busy Crowd

Starbucks at Lotte Mall West Lake is one of the more understated outlets I’ve visited — small, tucked away in a corner of the mall, and surprisingly packed during our visit. It’s definitely not one of those eye-catching, flagship-style locations.

What stood out most was seeing a good number of locals enjoying their coffee here, despite Vietnam’s famously strong local coffee culture. While Vietnamese coffee typically uses bold Robusta beans, Starbucks’ lighter Arabica-based offerings still seem to attract a loyal crowd — especially younger urbanites.

That said, seating was a challenge, and there was a long queue at the pickup counter, possibly due to understaffing or high order volumes. Not exactly the relaxing coffee stop we’d hoped for.

On a positive note, the pastries were well displayed, fresh-looking, and appetizing behind the glass counter. If you’re already in the mall and craving something familiar, it does the job — just don’t expect a tranquil café experience.
