Pretending to be in Europe | Harbin's old building, St. Alexeev Church

Old churches are an important part of Harbin's century-old buildings. In addition to the famous St. Sophia Cathedral near Central Street, there are many other churches in the city worth visiting.

👍️Must-see attraction: St. Alekseyev Church
Built in 1930. It was originally the Orthodox Alexeev Church, which was closed in 1958 and converted into a Catholic church in 1980 and resumed religious activities. Brick and stone structure, Russian architectural style. The plan is cross-shaped, and the facades are majestic and staggered. The bell tower has a tent roof and a small guest roof; the nave ends with an onion dome. Murals depicting biblical stories are hung around the interior. The church is the best preserved church building in Harbin.
