It turned out to be the Orthodox Alexeev Cathedral, the best preserved church in Harbin.

Admission: Free

Our visit to this church was completely unexpected. My travel companions had originally planned to go to Gogol Street to find a cafe, but when we got a taxi, the driver told us that Gogol Street had nothing special to offer, so we should visit this church! He dropped us off here.
I immediately did some research and learned that the Alexeevsky Cathedral dates back to the Russo-Japanese War. Its shape and style are a replica of St. Sophia Cathedral, with its Arabic bell-shaped dome and geometric design. This clever fusion creates an artistic atmosphere!

No reservations are required and admission is free. Upon entering, a volunteer will help register your number and location. Other volunteers are also available inside to offer explanations of the interior.
