Upon arriving in Harbin, the cold hit me as soon as I got off the train, as if it was going to pierce through me. I took a deep breath and instantly felt invigorated. This was the Harbin trip I had been looking forward to.
On Central Street, the road was paved with stones, and the European-style buildings on either side were staggered. The sun shone on the road, reflecting a warm light. I strolled along, feeling the blend of history and modernity. There were many ice sculptures on the street, crystal clear and shimmering in the sunlight. This was a feature of Harbin and my first impression of the city.
At the Ice and Snow World, it was like a dreamlike ice and snow kingdom. Huge ice castles stood in front of me, like castles in a fairy tale world. I excitedly shuttled among them, looking at the colorful lights around me, as if I were in a mysterious ice and snow world. I rode a snowmobile, the wind whistling in my ears, and the thrill made me scream.
Yabuli Ski Resort was a place I had been looking forward to. The ski slopes were long and wide, a paradise for someone like me who loves challenges. I put on my skis and sped down the slopes, feeling the thrill of speed. The scenery around was also beautiful, with distant mountains covered in snow, like a beautiful painting.
After playing, I chose to rest at a nearby hotel. I checked into the Harbin Songbei Shangri-La Hotel, which was conveniently located near the Ice and Snow World. The hotel was luxuriously decorated, and the service was very attentive. The room was warm and comfortable, and the view outside the window was breathtaking.
Harbin's food was not to be missed. I recommended a few local specialties: Lao Chu Jia's Guo Bao Rou, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, sweet and sour; Zhang Bao Pu's pork ribs bun, tender and juicy; and Huamei Western Restaurant's Russian cuisine, especially the borscht, rich in flavor. These delicacies satisfied my taste buds and made me feel the unique charm of Harbin.
In terms of transportation, Harbin's public transportation was very convenient. You could take the subway or bus to various attractions. Taxis were also convenient and reasonably priced.
Tips: Be sure to keep warm and wear thicker clothes, especially gloves and hats. Pay attention to safety while playing and follow the rules of the attractions. Also, check the weather in advance to avoid being affected by the weather.
This trip to Harbin was very rewarding. I felt the unique charm of the city and experienced the fun of ice and snow. I would share my travel experiences with everyone, so more people could learn about Harbin. I hope everyone can come here and feel the charm of this city.
