Smiles at Sub Zero temperatures, Only at Harbin Ice and Snow World!

I was lucky enough to start my travel year off with a bang ticking Harbin’s Ice and Snow World off my bucket list!

If you’ve been inspired by all the beauty you see online, below are some tips for travel!

Travel to Harbin during winter is not for the faint hearted, battling snow and temperatures hitting as low as -20 Celsius, preparation is definitely key for your travels.

I have included a slide with a what time wear guide as it’s so important to enjoy your day in the freezing cold!

Details of Ice and Snow World are as follows;
🕐 Business hours: Currently open 1000 - 2130 Everyday until end of February
🚉 How to get there: Metro line to to Ice and Snow World Station (15 minutes ride from city centre)
🎟️ Admission: Adults 328RMB (Children and Seniors Free)
🍱 Dining: There is a large food hall with a wide range of restaurants snacks and souvenirs all a reasonable price (my dinner was around 40RMB / $8 AUD)
⏰ Time recommended: Half day is ideal arriving later in the afternoon for sunset and to see the evening lights.. (I was lucky enough to visit twice once in the afternoon/evening and once in the morning.. allow for extra time during the visit to defrost, I spent about 30 minutes to an hour in the cold and then had a rest inside for 10-20 minutes)

Additional add on;
📸 Professional Photo Shoot: The lighting can be difficult to take photos in, especially for so traveller like myself, I opted to get a 1 hour photo shoot in the park.
I paid 599 RMB for one hour and 140 photos directly to my phone on completion.
I had seen private photographers you can book with in advance who can be cheaper but I was happy to pay this for their experience and as a souvenir of my visit.
