Discover a hidden gem in Harbin with incredible value for money

A luxurious experience at The Ritz-Carlton, Harbin

I've long heard that The Ritz-Carlton, Harbin is one of the four most renowned hotels in Northeast China, and this time I finally had the chance to check in and experience it myself. It was an experience that exceeded all expectations!

🧹Soundproofing/Cleanliness: The hotel facilities are brand new, and the rooms are impeccably clean. Every corner is spotless, providing a sense of comfort and peace of mind.

🏘️Room Type/Layout: The rooms are incredibly spacious, with a particularly impressive walk-in closet and bathroom. The overall layout is similar to the Park Hyatt Changsha. Although there's no separate desk, the front desk kindly upgraded me to a river-view room, offering breathtaking views of the city and the river, especially stunning during sunset. Additionally, the hotel's 54th-floor sky lobby boasts a classic design. Despite the slightly limited space due to the ceiling height, the panoramic view of the ice city is truly expansive. The lobby's European style blends seamlessly with ice and snow-themed blue elements, and the murals and floral arrangements showcase the meticulous attention to detail of the R&F Properties owners.

🛌Amenities/Facilities: The hotel's facilities are user-friendly, with easy-to-control air conditioning, lighting, and curtains. The bedding is exceptionally comfortable, and the thick pillows are simply irresistible. The toiletries are from the Diptyque Philosykos collection, offering a pleasant, neutral fragrance. The automatic flush toilets add a touch of convenience and comfort to the stay.

💗Other tips:

1. The hotel's front desk is on the 54th floor, and you'll need to transfer elevators to reach your room. This is a common feature of hotels converted from office buildings, so just be aware of this if it's your first time staying here.
2. While there isn't much to explore immediately around the hotel, its prime location makes it easy to take a taxi to various attractions. It's about 15 minutes to Central Street and 40 minutes to the airport.
3. Unlike most Marriott hotels, this one doesn't offer free breakfast. You'll need to purchase it or redeem it with points. Also, the lounge is currently under renovation, so it's best to check beforehand.

🔵Service Experience: The hotel's service perfectly embodies the warmth and humor of Northeasterners. From the front desk staff to the concierge, everyone is incredibly friendly. The complimentary Harbin red sausage provided during turndown service is a thoughtful touch that incorporates local specialties, leaving a lasting impression.

🔵Dining Experience: Enjoying a drink in the lobby lounge at night offers not only attentive service but also captivating views. Breakfast is served at the 54th-floor Yunbinhui Restaurant, with its decor inspired by Harbin Railway Station, featuring a distinctive dome and pillars. The breakfast is top-notch, with the Eggs Benedict being a standout dish. The summer view of the Songhua River from the window is lush and green, creating a delightful dining experience.

Overall, The Ritz-Carlton, Harbin stands out among high-end hotels in Northeast China with its excellent facilities, warm service, and unique dining experience. Whether you're traveling for business or leisure, this hotel promises an unforgettable luxury experience!
