✅Kalaqin Prince's Palace
√It was first built in the 18th year of Emperor Kangxi’s reign in the Qing Dynasty (1679).
√It is the residence of Prince Gong of the Qing Dynasty and the former residence of Gongsang Norbu.
√It has now been turned into the Harqin Banner Palace Museum.

❤️Celebrities in the palace:
√Gongsang Norbu was the last prince of Kharchin, born in 1872.
√Succeeded the throne in 1898 at the age of 27.
√Elected as a director of the Kuomintang in 1912.
√🇨🇳Gongsang Norbu was elected as the only Mongolian and Tibetan representative and became one of the nine directors of the first Kuomintang.

❤️Architectural features of the palace
1️⃣The first of the 49 Mongolian royal palaces in Inner Mongolia, it combines the three major architectural features of the northern region, the Mongolian nation, and Tibetan Buddhism.
2️⃣This is the earliest built, highest-ranking, largest-scale, and best-preserved residence of a Mongolian prince in the Qing Dynasty.
3️⃣There are more than 1,400 cultural relics from the Ming and Qing dynasties alone.

The most recommended is a set of selfies or beautiful photos in ancient Qing Dynasty costumes.

✅Itinerary: Four hours’ drive from Beijing...one hour’s drive from Chengde or Chifeng. We drove from Chengde to Chifeng, and visited the Kalaqin Palace on our itinerary. After the tour, we returned to Chifeng city in half an hour and stayed at the Chifeng Serengeti Hotel. The hotel has a very high cost-effectiveness and the breakfast is delicious and rich.
✅Tips to note: There are blue skies and white clouds all the way, and there are mostly strong winds and ultraviolet rays, so pay attention to sun protection... There is one place under renovation in the prince's mansion, and the rest is fine. A thorough historical introduction to the last prince.

❌Least recommended: The guide at the door costs 80 yuan, which is too expensive and unnecessary... Every scenic spot in the palace has a free WeChat QR code introduction...
❌The ice cream in the convenience store here is terrible. It is pure sugar and has no milk flavor. I don’t recommend eating it.
Opening hours: 8:30-17:00 (admission ends at 16:30)

🚗Self-driving: Chifeng, Inner Mongolia - Daguan Expressway - S206/Wangfu Street - Harqin Prince's Palace. The total length is 70.8 kilometers and the driving time is 51 minutes.
🚍Bus: 67 kilometers from Chifeng, take bus No. 33 from Chifeng Railway Station to Jinshan (fare 6 yuan), then take a bus from Jinshan to Prince's Mansion (fare 5 yuan).

💰Tickets: Tickets for the Wangfu New Year Lantern Festival are 29 yuan (discount price 21 yuan), and the usual retail price is 50 yuan.
