CHOW breakfast & brunch (HDY)

I tried it once in the morning (around 9-10 AM). The atmosphere was quite nice—not too crowded yet, with a relaxed, open feel, perfect for welcoming the day with delicious food and good coffee.

Ambience / Decor
• The shop is quite beautiful and clean, with both air-conditioned seating and a small outdoor area.
• It's somewhat shady, especially in the morning when the light is good and the view is beautiful, perfect for taking photos or just enjoying a quiet moment.
• The shop isn't very large—there are about 5-6 tables (there may also be a bar/counter). If there are a lot of people, it can feel crowded or the noise can easily spread.

Menu + Taste

I ordered the following:
• Avocado & Feta Toast — The bread was good. The bagel/toast was "chewy" with a crispy crust and soft interior. The avocado and feta flavors complemented each other well, not too strong. It's perfect for those who like something light, but the ingredients are fresh.
• Smoked Salmon Toast — If you order this, you'll get a slight saltiness from the smoked salmon. Along with the rest of the menu — overall, it's okay, but if you're expecting something special, like "full-on smoked salmon," it might not be quite what you're looking for.
• Drinks — They have soda, yuzu soda, and other refreshing light drinks. They're well-prepared, making it a great way to feel refreshed on a weekend morning.

Service / Timing
• The staff are friendly and helpful, offering some menu information and even asking "Would you like this?" if you need a little customization.
• The food can be slow to arrive if there are a lot of customers, especially dishes that require detailed preparation, like toast with multiple ingredients or larger sets.

❗ Likes / Disadvantages

✔️ Likes ⚠️ Disadvantages / Things to watch out for
The ingredients look fresh. The overall taste is good. They carefully arrange the dishes to make them look appetizing. The price may be slightly higher compared to other breakfast restaurants.

Clean atmosphere, good photo spots, perfect for those who like to chill or arrive early. Parking is inconvenient, so you may have to find parking far from the restaurant or walk a bit.

The menu has a wide variety of bagels, toast, and breakfast sets. / Cold and refreshing drinks. There's a good selection. If the restaurant is crowded, you might have to wait for your food/drinks for quite a while, which might take longer than expected.

Friendly service, staff seem attentive. Some menu items may be "ordinary" compared to restaurants that focus on Western breakfasts/prices, which might not stand out to those who have eaten at similar restaurants before.

✅ Conclusion & Is it worth it?

If I were to ask, "Is it worth it if you're visiting Hat Yai/area and looking for breakfast/brunch?" I'd say it's worth it, especially:
• If you want to start the day lightly with a freshly made breakfast/brunch.
• If you want a nice atmosphere and a relaxing morning/afternoon meal.
• If you want a varied menu (not just rice and Thai dishes).

If you prioritize:
• The best price.
• Convenient parking.
• Super fast service.
