Phra Phutthamongkhon Temple, Khao Khao Hong @ Hat Yai

Phra Phutta Mongkhon Maharat is a large Buddha image enshrined on Khao Kho Hong, facing Hat Yai City at Hat Yai Municipal Park, Kho Hong Municipality, Hat Yai District. It is one of the largest in the South and is considered the "Buddha image of Hat Yai City." The Buddha image sculpture was created with the devotion of both Thai and foreign Buddhists to celebrate His Majesty the King's 6th Cycle Birthday Anniversary on December 5, 1999 (72 years) of the reign of King Rama IX.
