[Hiroshima Prefecture] "Miyajima and Itsukushima Shrine, known as the Island of the Gods" - a place worth visiting in 2023

\\Tourist Spots//

Miyajima, one of Japan's most popular tourist spots, is home to the National Treasure Itsukushima Shrine, which was designated a World Heritage Site in 1996, and is a popular tourist spot both in Japan and overseas. Due to its immense popularity, many people visit the island. If you want to enjoy Itsukushima Shrine in a relaxed and private atmosphere, we recommend visiting early in the morning. On the day of our visit, we visited just before 7:00 in the morning, and it was private for about 20 minutes. Although it may vary depending on the day, we recommend a little before 7:00, when the number of ferries operating from Miyajimaguchi increases.

The corridor is designed with gaps to protect against high tides. High heels may get stuck in the gaps. It is a valuable piece of architecture, so please wear comfortable shoes!
