Nagahama Shrine in Hatsukaichi City, Hiroshima Prefecture

This shrine is located in the opposite direction from the pier towards Itsukushima Shrine.
The deities enshrined are Okitsuhiko-no-mikoto and Okitsuhime-no-mikoto.
Tokoro-no-Okina is enshrined in the co-shrine.
Tokoro-no-Okina is a person who was ordered by Empress Suiko to build a shrine here in the 6th century.
The current beautiful shrine building was designed by Taira no Kiyomori,
but Tokoro (also known as Saiki Kuramoto) was involved in the founding of Itsukushima Shrine.
When you think about it, it feels like a shrine that is very closely connected to Itsukushima Shrine. In fact, it is said to be a place where the royal boats stop off during the orchestra festival.
The contrast between the blue sea 🌊 and the vermilion torii gate ⛩.
It's a beautiful spot!
