| Anhui Museum is definitely worth a visit, a complete guide. ⏰ Itinerary:
9:00 Rush to the new building to see the "National Treasures Return" special exhibition (closes at 18:00 on Fridays to Sundays during summer), then head straight to the Chu Da Ding on the 2nd floor and the starry sky ceiling on the 5th floor.
11:30 Check in at the 4th floor Huizhou Ancient Architecture Exhibition Hall, white walls, black tiles + wooden carved windows make for great photos!
13:00 Walk 8 minutes to "Luzhou Tai Tai" to eat crispy eggplant + Sanhe rice dumplings (about 50 yuan per person).
14:30 Take Metro Line 3 transfer to Line 2 to the old building, see Pan Yuliang's self-portrait and the Ming and Qing dynasty prints exhibition, the rose wall is perfect for photos. At 17:00, before returning, buy Chu Da Ding chocolate (about 38 yuan) at the new building's cultural and creative store.
🚇 Transportation:
Metro Line 3 "Provincial Museum Station" goes directly to the new building; to get to the old building, transfer to Line 2 at "Sanxiaokou Station" and walk 300 meters. For driving, park at the Swan Lake parking lot (5 yuan/hour), arrive early on weekends!
🏨 Accommodation:
All Season Hotel (Zhengwu District branch) about 200 yuan/night, smart home + 10-minute walk to the new building. If budget allows, choose Hyatt Hotel, prime lake view + Huizhou-style design.
📸 Must-Photo Spots:
✅ New building atrium starry sky ceiling (super dreamy when lit at night)
✅ Old building Pan Yuliang exhibition sofa area (perfect with a qipao)
✅ Huizhou ancient architecture corridor (pretend you're in Hongcun)
✅ Beast head special exhibition and bronze statue photo op
⚠️ Pitfall Avoidance Tips:
1. Both buildings are closed on Mondays, don’t go for nothing!
2. No direct elevator from the new building’s underground parking lot, need to walk 5 minutes across the bridge.
3. Arrive at Luzhou Tai Tai before 11:00, otherwise wait at least 1 hour!
4. The air conditioning inside is so cold you’ll need a sweater, bring a light jacket in summer!
This guide covers must-see exhibitions, food, accommodation, and transportation, with practical tips to avoid pitfalls, and the title is catchy enough. Hope you enjoy a wonderful day!
