Yaoba Ancient Town.

Yaoba Ancient Town is located in Hejiang County, Luzhou City, Sichuan Province, 32 kilometers southeast of Luzhou City. After visiting the Chishui Yanziyan Waterfall, we drove north along the Chishui River Valley Tourist Highway, connected to the Red Army Avenue, and then took the Chengdu-Zunyi Expressway to reach Yaoba Ancient Town, a total of 58 kilometers.
Yaoba has a long history. It began to establish post stations in the Western Han Dynasty, formed a market in the Northern Song Dynasty, and flourished in the Qing Dynasty. A main street winds through the ancient town, roughly running from north to south, with a total length of more than 1,000 meters. Most of the buildings on both sides of the street are from the late Qing Dynasty to the Republic of China. The Wujinshi Archway on the street has experienced 214 years of wind and rain. There are attractions such as Wujinshi Mansion (Dahong Rice Shop), Zhougong Mansion (Yaoba History and Culture Museum), Dongyue Temple (Ciyun Temple), and Ling Zifeng (deceased modern film director) Former Residence. The style of the ancient town has attracted many film directors to shoot more than 20 films and TV series here.
Yaoba Ancient Town was also an important base for the early activities of the Communist Party of China. In 1929, the CPC Chihet Special Branch was established in Yaoba Ancient Town. In 1935, it responded to the Central Red Army's four crossings of Chishui, and it is a place with a red revolutionary tradition.
