Now more and more ancient towns are being developed and rebuilt
The uniform concrete and the noisy souvenir shops make me feel regretful and tired 😞
👉This ancient town I visited this time 🏘
gave me unexpected feelings
.
🎈No commercialization, no development
Hundreds of residential buildings are built against the mountain, layered upon each other 🏯
The residences have a distinct southern Sichuan style, with grey bricks and green tiles, blending in with the surrounding green mountains
The undulating cobblestone roads connect the entire ancient town 🏘
Full of historical sense
.
🎈There are also some residents living here as usual
Buying vegetables, carrying baskets, playing...
It's as if I've stepped into a cycle of history in a second
.
This is Fubao Ancient Town in Luzhou, Sichuan❗️It has unique scenery and a profound historical heritage
Niche! Beautiful scenery! Few people!
.
✅✅✅Recommended features:
1⃣Simple architectural complex
🎈Fubao Ancient Town was founded at the end of the Yuan Dynasty and the beginning of the Ming Dynasty, and the existing buildings are mainly from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The architectural complex consists of wooden mortise and tenon frames, hanging mountain-style roofs, small green tile roofs, and bluestone streets. There are also many hanging wooden buildings and wooden corridors, with many highlights
🎈The terrain of the ancient town is uneven, and the houses are densely packed, following the undulations of the mountain. The ancient town is composed of one main road and dozens of side roads, with almost no gaps between the residences, dense like a spider web, and has a unique three-dimensional style, praised by architectural experts from Tsinghua University as 'the essence of Chinese mountain architecture'.

2⃣Zero commercialization, zero development
There are no souvenir shops here, nor various noisy commercial facilities, not even a convenience store. The town is simple and tranquil, completely retaining its original appearance, outshining a multitude of ancient towns.

Due to geographical reasons, the ancient town was once a necessary route for the transportation of goods such as Sichuan and Guizhou well salt, and was once very prosperous. You can still see exquisite opera houses, wing buildings, and carved beams and painted rafters.

🥙Food recommendation
Hejiang County's 'North Gate River Tofu Pudding': Recommended tofu pudding, blood vegetable stir-fried pig liver, spicy pork intestines, very local flavor, and high cost-performance ratio
If you have time, you can also visit nearby places like Chishui or Jiangjin
