Autumn revisit to Yueping Park, Hengyang

Yueping Park, Hengyang City (Yanfeng, Hengyang)
🔆Notes:
1️⃣ The leaves in the park are mostly still green, but the temperature has dropped. Wearing a light jacket here, basking in the gentle sunlight, the feeling of autumn is just beginning to show.
2️⃣ In ancient times, the "Yueping Snow Ridge with Birds Chirping" on Yueping Mountain was listed as one of the Eight Views of Hengyang. However, it is not yet snow season, many ancient buildings on the mountain no longer exist, and the vegetation has changed, losing some of its poetic charm. But a stairway for climbing the mountain is lined on both sides with bright Ixora flowers, and some unusual insects (possibly hummingbird hawk-moths) flutter among them, bringing surprises to the journey.
3️⃣ There are still many amusement facilities in the park, but since it is off-season, hardly any visitors are seen playing, making it somewhat desolate. Thinking back to autumn (or spring) outings more than ten years ago, running out of the group to buy cotton candy, now it’s hard to find a cotton candy vendor. Passing by the haunted house, once feared and never entered, now its gate is firmly closed.
4️⃣ By the lake, many tables and chairs are set up, gathering older groups who drink tea, chat, and play cards. There are many people, but the noise is not loud.
5️⃣ This is the autumn of a 73-year-old park in a small city.
🔆Memorial Hall & Zoo:
The Hengyang Anti-Japanese War Memorial Hall and Hengyang Zoo are also inside (or beside) Yueping Park. The memorial hall requires no reservation, the zoo charges an entrance fee.
