Located in Takayama City, "Hida Beef for Sale - Yakiniku - Akariya" is a restaurant offering A4 and A5 grade Hida beef at reasonable prices. They offer a wide variety of options, including set meals, salads, rice and noodles, and a wide selection of alcoholic beverages. In addition to counter seating, private rooms are available for 2-4 people and 6-18 people, allowing you to enjoy delicious Hida cuisine in a private setting.
"Hida Beef" is a type of Kuroge Wagyu from Gifu Prefecture, renowned alongside other Wagyu varieties such as Yonezawa Beef, Miyazaki Beef, and Sendai Beef. According to the unified standards established by the Japan Meat Certification Association, it is classified as A and B in terms of edible quality, and as 5, 4, and 3 in terms of meat quality. Only beef certified by the Hida Beef Brand Promotion Association can be called Hida Beef; beef that does not meet these standards is considered Hida Wagyu.
Because Hida beef is so famous, it's often a must-try item for tourists visiting Takayama, hoping to savor its rich, evenly marbled texture and tender, delicate flavor. This was certainly on our list during our Takayama trip.
