Day Trip to Himeji from Osaka for Under RM100: Castle, Gardens & Culture

Went on a rewarding day trip from Osaka to Himeji — all under RM100 (around ¥3,000)! Took the JR train to visit the magnificent Himeji Castle, Japan’s most iconic and well-preserved feudal fortress (¥1,000 entry). Strolled through Koko-en Garden next door (combo ticket saves a bit), and enjoyed a peaceful walk under shady trees. Grabbed a simple lunch and matcha snack near the station. With round-trip train fare, entrance fees, and food, the whole day stayed budget-friendly — a perfect mix of history, nature, and value in one of Japan’s most picturesque towns.
