Recommended for extended stays: Sansou Tansui

I love staying multiple nights wherever I go, but my expectations for meals tend to decrease the longer I stay. However, Sansou Tansui proved to be different.

First of all, the presentation was completely different. Just by changing from yesterday's hassun to three types of appetizers, the dishes felt entirely new. With a touch of summer added, everything was refreshing and perfect for blowing away the fatigue of a hot day.

The Nishinoseki 'Bigin' sake from Kayashima Brewery that I ordered was smooth and paired wonderfully with the meal. And today, they served tuna nigiri as part of the sashimi! What a delightful surprise. I hadn't planned on eating sushi during this trip, so this unexpected treat made me incredibly happy. The grilled young sweetfish was delicious again today.

Personally, I preferred the dinner on the second day.

According to the staff, there has been an increase in foreign guests opting for extended stays recently. This seems to have led to some thoughtful innovations, which turned out to be lucky for me. Since this trip has been all about indulging, being able to enjoy small portions of delicious food is the greatest joy.
